Hello from Macaronis Resort!
October has been a fun month. With the October swell, we explored plenty of waves all around with our speed boat ‘Surf-a-lot’ and enjoyed the comfort of staying at the resort with a range of facilities and activities to take part in. Owen Wright and friends came to stay with us in late October / early November and have scored some great waves at Macaronis and at other nearby breaks.
December, which is usually our secret time, is traditionally when we do our annual maintenance. This year, however, we have decided to open up for our customers to enjoy the uncrowded sessions. The first 5 surfers to book in the first 3 weeks of December get 30% off and the next 5 get 20% off. We still have a few rooms available for Christmas and New Year if anybody is interested in joining us.

2. DECEMBER PHOTO PROOF – WHAT DECEMBER REALLY LOOKS LIKE
While most other months are booked 6-12 months in advance, December remains quiet and is a bit like the Mentawais used to be like, with very few others around and perfect waves peeling down the point. While others are busy thinking about Christmas, this is the time to visit, when the waves are completely empty!
More powerful surf is common in winter months, but if you’d like to visit knowing you’ll probably be surfing rippable fun waves in the 3-4 feet range, with a chance to surf larger empty sessions, in the event of a solid South swell, then December is the ideal time to visit!
December used to be our secret maintenance period when we used to surf Macas all to ourselves, year after year. This year we’re doing our maintenance Nov 18 – Dec 02, so now our guests can enjoy the unique experience of surfing Macas and surrounding breaks completely empty, with no other boats or surfers in sight.

3. SURF COACHING CLINIC UPDATE
{January 13th – March 10th, 2023}
Our surf coaching clinics are designed with your surfing progress and enjoyment in mind, offered in a relaxed atmosphere, to help develop your physical and mental abilities, while having a great time!
Our 2023 coaching clinics have a duration of 1 week per clinic over 8 weeks. During the coaching sessions, normally there are 8 surfers per coach to provide one on one coaching, and our accommodation is limited to one surfer per room. By having your own room, you get to enjoy more privacy and comfort with a choice of queen or twin beds, and you can bring along your partner, a non-surfing companion, or the whole family if you’d like to!
