Sci-Fi 2.0 Bat
Dimensions: 5′10″ X 19 5/8″ X 2 9/16″
Liters: 32.2L
The update to one of the most popular designs in surfing has arrived. The Sci-Fi 2.0 features a wide point forward of center, which allows the design to be ridden 1” shorter than its predecessor with more volume packed into a shorter length. It also has a more pulled-in tail and rocker (similar to the Cymatic), giving the design greater range than the original while still maintaining good small-wave prowess.

The Sweat Potato Swallow
Dimensions: 5’6″ X 22 X 2 9/16 X
Liters: 37.8L
The NEW Sweet Potato is the refined swallowtail version of the original Sweet Potato – the board that transformed what surfing is for me. The Sweet Potato converts waves that would normally require a longboard (or even be a non-surf day) into loads and loads of fun because of the insane amount of volume packed into a very short board that is loose and packs tons of drive. The trademark deep double barrel concave essentially splits the board in half when tipped over and driving through turns, making the board feel way narrower than it actually is.

Seaside & Beyond Swallow
Dimensions: 6’8″ X 20 3/4″ X 2 5/8″
Liters: 40.9 L
I’ve really been wanting to play around with some longer fishy kind of boards for a while now… Ever since I spent some time with Skip Frye and he showed me some of his fishes in the 7 foot range It’s been on my mind. I first stretched out the GO FISH and made a 7 footer. It worked great and really got my mind spinning. Then I made a 7’0 seaside and it became one of my favorite boards in my quiver. I rode it in everything. Super small days, bigger days and everything in between. It’s become a board that I will take with me everywhere I go.

Sunday Round Pin
Dimensions: 6′ 4″ X 20 3’4″ X 3″
Liters: 45.11L
Sunday mornings for me start later than most mornings.
It’s really a family day…. We wake up, take it slow…. Might be a surf involved before breakfast with my daughter or my son, but we’re never in a hurry to get there. We usually go to the farmer’s market before noon and stock up on produce.
My favorite thing about the Sunday is how it occupies both sides of the spectrum. I ride both the 5’6 and the 7’0. That covers a lot of territory.

FRK PLUS SQUASH
Dimensions: 6′ 00″ X 19 1/4″ X 2 11/16″
Litres: 32.2L
The FRK Plus is a classic squash tail, high-performance shortboard, refined and calibrated over the past three years with Kelly, Brodi, Betty Lou, and others.
This new squash version of the FRK is meant to be ridden slightly shorter than the original FRK round tail. It has all the on-wave benefits of the original FRK with a touch more release through turns that comes from the squash tail and minor adjustments to how the concaves and fin placements relate to the increased surface area of the squash when compared to a round
tail.

Sub Moon
Dimensions: 6’8″ x 21 x 2 5/8
Liters: 37.4 L
The SUBMOON is the ultimate FUNshape. Designer Nev Hyman explains: “We combined a contemporary rocker and concaves and even thickness distribution with a quirky FUNshape outline that encourages a more vertical shortboard approach to the traditional longboard style of surfing. The outline has generous curve between your feet, which encourages the board to get on rail and TURN! The narrower moon tail provides bite, drive and direction, and the snub nose carries area forward for a bit of tip hang-cheater five FUN.”

Unibrow
Dimensions: 6’6″ x 20 1/2 x 2 7/8
Liters: 40.4 L
Designer Dan Mann explains, “The UNIBROW has roots in a design I’ve been riding as my regular short board, mixed with what I’ve learned from designing and riding the Dominator, Sweet Potato and Potato-Nator. The outline curve is compressed from a regular shortboard without sacrificing the width needed to maximize paddling and planing speed.
The goal was to design a very high-performance shortboard that didn’t feel too ‘bulky’ in good surf when you can ride something other than a groveler. The rail profile is dropped and very sensitive, especially through the tail. The bottom has an aggressive single concave that start
s in the nose, carries through the deep spot forward of the fins and splits into a subtle double concave that then directs the water flow to the inside of the front fins”.

Dimensions: 6’4″ x 18 1/2 x 2 9/16

EVO
Dimensions: 5’6″ x 19 3/4 x 2 9/16
Litres: 32.2L Tomo Model
Dimensions: 5’7″ x 20 x 2 5/
Litres: 33.9L Tomo Model
EVO (Evolution) is a new take on the MPH design, utilizing softer features and more outline curve to encourage a smoother transitions and a more ‘in the pocket’ line of attack. A wider central wide point comparative to the Vader, the EVO should be considered favorable to smaller weaker waves, however like most Tomo MPH Designs , the EVO will still be quite functional in overhead waves conditions.
Maintaining an almost symmetrical outline and a completely unique and highly innovative “Double inside single concave into split quad concave” planing hull, The EVO feels as if it’s almost ‘levitating’ on the water! Yet once on rail, it has a precise rail sensitivity and hold. The EVO should be ridden as short as possible with user friendly volumes packed into the shortest MPH sizings yet offered by Tomo.

The Amigo
Dimensions: 6’0″ x 19 5/8 x 2 1/2
Liters: 30.4L
The heart of the Amigo is a very fast, very user-friendly rocker that not only gains speed easily, but also has a loose, snappy feel in all kinds of waves. The outline is full with a nice hip leading into a wide tail block, which adds to the speed but lets it break free where you want it to. The bottom has single concave running all the way through, with just a touch of double concave between the fins. This combo gives lift to get the board planing on top of the water easily and helps maintain speed through flatter, weaker sections.
If you love riding a stubbie, but you crave a more high performance feeling, the Amigo is going to be the board for you.

Slab
Dimensions: 6’1″ x 19 1/8 x 2 7/16
Liters: 30.1L
The Slab by Pyzel is John John Florence’s ideas refined into his perfect free surfing model. John John wanted 3 inches off the nose of the JP-X and an increased tail rocker. This resulted in a fuller nose, fatter top section and an extremely high performance fun board that goes well in a range of conditions.
The lower nose rocker gives the Pyzel Slab heaps of speed early in the take off and when driving down the line. An easy nose rocker and extra tail rocker makes the board speedy but provides the ability to easily release it in the pocket for high performance surfing

Go Fish Linear Flex
Dimensions: 5’11” x 20 3/4 x 2 7/16
Liters: 35L
“This board just makes me want to surf.” Rob beams.
He continues “No matter what the waves are like, whether it’s Kelly’s wave or a beach break in France, I just love how speedy and drivey it is, and I love the unique lines it lets me draw.”
Visually, the Go Fish sits excitedly at the intersection of “Brand-New” and “Totally Familiar” – the same traditional outline that every fish enthusiast is familiar with, but containing an entirely new approach to bottom contours.
This Rob Machado design is an advanced adjustment to a proven fish concept, and it’s easy to imagine it working fantastically on the face of wave when you hold it under your arm, fingers wrapped around a familiar rail, on the edge of a concave that feels uncommonly exciting.

Go Fish
Dimensions: 5’7″ x 20 1/2 x 2 5/16
Liters: 31.1L
Go Fish. I’ve narrowed up the swallow tip to tip to give the board more maneuverability and the narrower nose gives it a more speedier outline. The rocker is fairly relaxed with a low entry rocker upfront combined with a subtle tail rocker, giving this board quick ‘up and go’ and maximizes its top-end speed.

Sweet Potato
Dimension: 5’4″ x 21 1/2 x 2 1/2
Liters: 35.7
The Sweet Potato dramatically changes the ratio between the length and width of a board while still allowing the design to perform at a very high level.
Designer Dan Mann explains, “The aggressive bottom contour creates considerable lift and the deep double concave with a ‘spine’ down the middle divides the board in half isolating the fins, rocker and bottom on one side of the board at a time. This allows the board to get on a rail quickly. The Sweet Potato is the board you should always bring on a surf check, and you’ll find yourself ripping on small days where you’d otherwise go home”

Banana
Dimensions: 5’11” x 18 3/4 x 2 5/16
Liters: 27.3L
Dimensions: 6’0″ x 19 x 2 3/8
Liters: 28.8L
Inspired by the extreme rocker boards that Greg Webber and Shane Herring developed in the early 90’s, the BANANA is a far more user-friendly version that Kelly and Greg developed for intermediate to advanced surfers. And meant to be ridden in better than average conditions.
The BANANA has a smooth outline curve from nose to tail, a slight bump wing in front of the fins, as well as a generous single concave bottom contour. The end result is an extremely high performance surfboard that can be pushed hard through turns, while holding it’s own in deep barrels. In other words, the carving rail turns and extreme tube riding that Kelly was doing at Pipe on the smaller days during the 2015 Masters.

SKX
Dimensions: 6’2″ x 20 1/8 x 2 11/16
Liters: 34.6L
Dimensions: 6’3″ x 20 3/8 x 2 3/4
Liters: 36L
According to Daniel: “My Modern Planing Hull philosophies philosophy is that at ground level, every board should work well in crappy conditions. But the SKX also works well in the conditions I designed it for, which is more of an unruly ocean where a planning hull, a wide tail, might be too much lift and speed. with the SKX, the squash tail will give a little more control in those situations.”
But what matters most in the SKX is the design placed within that squash tail – Tomo’s Quad Inside Single Concave.
He describes it: “A regular channel might feel more trackey and drivey, whereas the Q.I.S.C. enhances speed and promotes detachment from the water until the board is on-rail. At that point, it really grips into the wave like a channel bottom. It’s the best of both worlds. The SKX is optimized more towards round faces like Snapper.”

Gamma

Liters: 31.5L
Dimensions: 6’4″ x 20 1/2 x 2 7/8
Liters: 38.5L
With a single concave bottom and slight vee behind the back fin, this board is extremely fast and has a ton of drive. The vee out the rear of the board makes for quick rail to rail transitions. Within the hi performance short board range this would be considered a medium rocker with a med to even a slightly pinched rail.
The distinct hip on the Gamma gives it a tighter turning radius allowing it to be ridden in a shorter wider set of dims as well as the common performance short board dims. This board excels in a broad range of waves and conditions.

Gamma Linear Flex
Dimensions: 6’2″ x 20 1/4 x 2 3/4
Liters: 35.5L
Dimensions: 6’8″ x 21 x 3
Liters: 43.3L
When you view the Gamma’s outline for the first time, a hip is immediately noticeable. This enables a tight turning radius, allowing Kelly (and everyone else) to surf this shape two different ways: short and wide, or long and narrow.
That’s why we’ve given everyone the choice between High Performance dimensions and Groveler dimensions.
This board has a single concave through nearly the entire hull, with a slight vee happening behind the thruster box. So, the Gamma will excel most for surfers who favor big, forceful movements on rail, and maneuvers commonly associated with power surfing.

No Brainer Linear Flex
Dimension: 5’10” x 19 3/4 x 2 5/8
Liters: 34L
Dimension: 6’0″ x 20 x 2 13/16
Liters: 37.7L
The Rocker is a tried and true template I’ve relied on for a long time in grovelers. I’ve modified it slightly, adding flip in the nose and tail.
The No Brainer is a board that an advanced and talented surfer can grovel and shred on, but at the same time something that all other levels of surfer can ride in small to decent sized surf.
The bottom contour is made up of a subtle belly v in the nose that goes into a moderate single concave under the chest. Within that single concave is a double concave that runs through nearly the entire length of the board. Even through the fins. But in the last five or so inches of the board it turns into a spiral V, because since I started working with Kelly over the last couple years, I’ve learned that V is something really critical to him in most of his shapes.
I recommend surfing this board with your favorite quad set. “

With a bit more bite on tightly angled turns in the pocket, we gave the tail a nip and a tuck to create the stepped down diamond tail. What has made this board so popular in places like California, the United Kingdom and France is how full the rails and the foil are with foam, coupled with a rocker curve and fin placement that simply work great in waves that are not barreling top to bottom.

Hydroshort Helium
Dimensions: 6’1″ x 20 5/16 x 2 3/4

Highlighted by the ultra-modern ‘torpedo nose ‘profile the Hydroshort has an incredible rail to rail flow and low swing weight at the front end which translates to a feeling of instant response. Coupled with a clean continuous, (medium) rocker curve and the Quad inside single concave (QISC) the Hydroshort is ready for maximum wave attack with tremendous burst of speed.
Squash tail version is slightly favourable to flatter face and weaker wave conditions.

FRK Linear Flex
Dimensions: 6’4″ x 19 5/8 x 2 3/4
Liters: 35.2L
Kelly actually said he knew the FRK was a keeper before he’d even completed his first wave on it. Two weeks later he took it to J Bay and did what a lot of people called his best surfing of the year.
Since that contest, he’s ridden the FRK everywhere in videos and at key events like the Founders Cup, J Bay again in 2018, and the Surf Ranch Pro. He’s also surfed it all around the North Shore this Winter.
Actually the FRKs he’s been riding this Winter have been straight out of Firewire’s factory, and I’m stoked we were able to so smoothly transition the custom FRKs I’ve been making him since 17’ into the final version from Firewire’s factory that will be at surf shops everywhere. To see Kelly embrace the shape and build exactly as it will hit surf shops is awesome.
If I had to describe the nuts and bolts of the FRKs design, I’d simply say it’s made to make you forget it’s there.
When designing boards for Kelly I’m trying to remove as many variables as possible and make it something that can level up his talents, or the talents of other surfers, without any glitches, or ever feeling like its in your way.
– Dan Mann; FRK Designer.
