Globe Team Visits Macaronis Resort

It has been a pleasure to have the Globe Team staying at Macaronis Resort from the end of June to early July. Dion Agus, Creed Mctaggart, Nate Tyler and Damien Hobgood (visiting after the Oakley Pro) were in fine form tearing Macas to shreds and pulling some serious airs.

ASDP Finalises New Ferry Route to Sikakap

It has been confirmed that Ambu Ambu Ferry will now be offering a second weekly route to Sikakap departing Padang on Saturdays, offloading and reloading in Sikakap Port on Sundays, and arriving back in Padang Mondays.

Helping Rebuild Tumalea Village after Tsunami

Thank you to our donors at the Tasmanian fundraser and to those who donated online to raise AUD $42,132 to assist those affected by the October 25, 2010 tsunami.

We surveyed the villages located to the south, many have been wiped out completely like Tumalea, and have been relocated inland with new schools, medical centers and houses built by NGO’s and the Indonesian Government.

Just 5 Days before the October 25, 2010 tsunami struck the Mentawai islands, ‘Get Away’ TV show on Australia’s Nine Network did a story on Macaronis Resort, along side Surf Aid International featuring Silabu Village and the surf at Macaronis. This video features footage of Macaronis Resort before the tsunami and a tour of Silabu village.
