“Macaronis Surf Coaching Clinic has been the perfect opportunity to work on my surfing technique and style. Surf coach Guy Morgan sets simple goals on which you work consistently throughout the coaching week. Following his exercises, you will already see massive changes in your surfing after only two days but this is just the beginning. The wave being repetitive and mechanical like a wave garden lets you practice single moves over and over again, so you will start surfing rail to rail, performing radical re-entries and roundhouse cutbacks after only a few days of training. Surf Coach Guy’s approach is super effective and focused on fast results while being an incredible entertainer and motivator. Coupled with his partner Gemma who gives yoga and breathwork classes the two make the perfect team for an unforgettable coaching experience. Gemma’s yoga classes get both fitness enthusiasts and lazybones moving and have presented a very helpful mix of activating the core, hip, and shoulder exercises combined with some rejuvenating after surfing- and breathing sessions. What more can you ask for? With the help of Gemma and Guy, I have moved and learned so much more than I would ever be capable of just by myself. I can only recommend this very special opportunity for everyone who wants to give his surfing more sense and spice. “What can I say! I was expecting a lot from this trip after 2 years in the making with the Covid situation but It certainly didn’t disappoint. Insane set up everything from the food to the accommodation, need a boat run out to the wave? No problem just ring the bell. T he main reason we came was to improve our surfing and had heard about Guys’ techniques. Definitely improved in a matter of days and with the ridiculous wave count each day, empty lineups, and Guys’ expert video analysis it’s no wonder really. Big shout out to Gemma, an awesome chick who really pushed everyone with the stretching and yoga each day. Can’t wait to do it all again next year – Guy De”

“I spent 3 weeks on an intermediate surf coaching trip with Guy and Gemma. The surf coaching was on point. Concise, accurate, and conveyed in a way that I could personally apply in the water session after session. My surfing definitely improved, my understanding of how to keep improving my surfing also improved. Video analysis and instructions before jumping in the water made the biggest difference for me. Now I have 6 gigas of surf videos and photos to go through. Gemma’s mobility and yoga classes were also on point. It was very specific to surfing and only long enough so that you get good mobility and stretch workout without burning the energy that you need for those long hours in the water. On a personal level, Guy and Gemma are two of the coolest, nicest people I’ve met so I will plan all my future Mentawai surf trips around spending more time with them. Can’t imagine anyone with better or more local knowledge and experience to surf those waves and make the most out of that experience. – Javier”

His sick drone videos and surf photos were great to understand how to improve and also provided us with lots of memories.
